Personal Statement
My decision to train in pediatric oncology at the University of Chicago was based on the opportunity to work with leaders in the field of oncology and academic medicine. I knew coming to Hyde Park, I could take advantage of the resources from the University to establish the foundation for my career. Moreover, I chose the University of Chicago to work with Tara Henderson to learn and take care of cancer survivors and perform outcomes research.
My long term goal is to establish an AYA clinic/program in the Chicagoland area and work with this population including cancer survivors.
Living in Chicago
I live in Lincoln Park and the commute is not too bad. I enjoy the scenic drive on Lake Shore Drive. I also like the sporting venues, concerts, and restaurants that Chicago provides.
My hobbies:
- Ice Hockey
- Concerts
- Bears, Cubs, Blackhawks
- Working out
